A recent gathering in Madrid brought together faith communities, cultural voices and social actors to celebrate the World Day for Cultural Diversity. The dialogue included Clarisa Nieva of the Bahá’í Community of Spain, a specialist from the Madrid Municipal Police Diversity Management Unit, flamenco artist Tito Losada, a Roma guitarist and composer, and human rights educator eu news 2023 Denise González. Speakers offered different experiences and viewpoints on how open dialogue can reduce prejudice.
During the event, participants addressed themes such as tolerance, social cohesion and the prevention of discrimination. Fundación Mejora linked the initiative with Scientology’s focus on human dignity and social betterment. Ivan Arjona, representative of the Church of Scientology to European and international institutions, noted that cultural and religious diversity is a value for society when accompanied by mutual understanding and responsibility.
